US-based IT infrastructure services provider Mindlance has drawn up plans for expansion of its India operations. Under the plans Mindlance will look for strategic alliances with local partners to provide cost-effective solutions, according to a company official.
Kamal Sharma, Mindlance India chief information officer and business head told reporters, 'As we are looking for a pan-India presence and strategic alliances with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and product firms, we will be hiring 600 people this year and 2,550 people next year to have a headcount of about 4,000 by 2011.'
Promoted by India-born Vikram Kalra, the New Jersey-headquartered firm is engaged in the management, optimisation and automation of IT operations for its clients worldwide across verticals.
'We have adapted a client engagement model, where vertical specific presales skills are deployed to analyse customers' business problems and help vendors achieve the right solution for their clients. Our enterprise level alliances and delivery capabilities serve Fortune 1,000 customers worldwide,' Sharma said.
The company, under a multi-year deal with Toyota Boshoku Automative India Ltd, will deploy its flagship solution to cut costs of IT operations by 50 per cent at the Japanese auto component maker's Indian subsidiary.
Sharma said Mindlance's solution was capable of handling the increasing SAP data in different environments and improve disaster recovery requirement for business continuity.
